Default Course Description and Topics Covered

The course in Spring, 2011, will cover mostly the same topics as were done in Spring, 2010. You can see the course outline, list of "concepts", and actual lecture notes here: http://nr.com/CS395T/lectures2010/

One difference in Spring, 2011, is that the course is now "officially" a standard Area B course for CSEM students. That means it is supposed to include a few lectures on computer science topics for students with an applied math, but not a CS, background. We'll need to figure out how to offer substitute lectures (or ??) on useful math-y things for CS students, so that everybody ends up better off!

Again this year, the T.A. will be Jeff Hussmann.
